James and Elizabeth Brown, pictured below, established the company in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1904, under the general trading name of James Brown & Sons. We used Browns for removal storage and delivery back to new home. We paid for 4 crates even though we only used 3 crates and the remainder was collected and delivered back loose. On inspection of some of the items that came back in the loose van they had damp and blue mould damage. I contacted Browns a number of times and had to keep chasing the issue as never received calls back and eventually I was just sent a claim form to complete after numerous calls to Browns from me.
There was obviously an issue with the area the loose items had been stored as these seemed to be the only items damaged in the move. One large picture had damp on the wooden frame and 2 large mirrors damaged with damp also. Would I use Browns again, certainly not! I had a conversation with a staff member in Browns who asked what would be a reasonable amount to settle the damage but they never came back to me and I had to return numerous calls. i would certainly not recommend Browns!

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I used these guys to move house recently and must say what a professional and efficient job the 2 fellas did. They took great care and pride in their work and no issues at all in relation to damage to furniture or walls etc. Arrived on time if not 5 minutes early and completed within the alotted time meaning no extra cost to my wife and I. Moving house can be a stressful time but this certainly did a lot to make us feel more relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend and will use again.competitive rates. Cheers
