Charlie made my self storage experience genuinely great from start to finish. He was friendly, patient, and clearly knew the facility inside and out he helped me pick the right unit size, walked me through the paperwork quickly, and even gave me tips on how to organize my stuff for easy access later. It's rare to get this level of care and attention these days, and it made a stressful moving process so much smoother. Wide range of units available. Easy access. Had a unit for 12 months. Staff always friendly and helpful. Unit was clean and dry and has a large industrial elevator for ease of access. No issues at all. Not 24 hour access but good access times and a later closing time on a Thursday which came in handy on a number of occasions

Visited Safestore Leeds Roseville Road June/July 2026 to store some stuff during a student house move, we ordered a student pallet. Everything was ready to go when we arrived and the staff were all friendly and welcoming, super-helpful and made our move a little less stressful thanks to their proactive attitude. We dont have a huge car and had to make several trips, needing to restack and rewrap our pallet and they were happy to accommodate. 5/5 thanks guys!

Had such a wonderful experience each time and Asjad has been so helpful was there til 4pm on a Sunday once and he came up slightly before to remind us of closing hours, was kind enough to help us with some items on our trolley down to the car. Very considerate and thoughtful for going the extra mile, deserves a shout out for sure! Today we came again to tend to our stuff and this time Asjad was joined with Charlie, both so friendly and gave us a warm welcome, then reassured if there was anything we needed, to shout them and they would help. So happy and would definitely come back again!

This is an excellent storage centre. The staff are friendly and helpful, all areas and units are beautifully clean and look well maintained. Access could not be simpler with use of a fob and trolleys are provided free of charge, with a spacious lift available. I would not hesitate to use Safestore again and would certainly reccommend it to anyone.

The team at Safestore Charlton is amazing, Mark especially, have been always available to clarify any queries. I had prompt updates always from them by email. The unit provided has served well to its purpose, was exactly within the space that I required and very clean inside. I am an Estate Agent and stored valuable landlords property with peace of mind knowing that the items stored have been insured in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

I enjoy the staff at the Charlton Safestores branch. They are funny and so helpful and they always make you feel welcome. What I don't like about the changes that your company has made, is that when your contract is up you get your notification of the price increase but this does not come from the branch that deal with you on a regular basis and who knows you, but from HQ which means they don't know you and you have to start the process of seeing if you can get a cheaper price, which can be very stressful.
The notifications of price increases and negotiations should be dealt with by the branch you deal with on a regular basis, and the contract should be longer as well. Every year before Christmas I have to see if I can get cheaper price for my unit and not the 100 increase that I got this year. But apart from that I love the Charlton branch staff especially Mani.

Where soviet style customer service meets Safestore! I went there to send a DHL parcel, and it was made clear to me more than once that they were drop off point and had no interest in helping me further when there was an issue with DHL system. When I pointed it out, the older guy working there, who clearly had no excuse for his attitude, went on the attack instead that I don't wear a mask on the premises.
At no point, before that was mentioned and I did not notice a sign on the door. Saying that both staff members were maskless. Honestly, that put me right off using Safestore ever again.

The facility was clean and secure, with easy access during work hours. The woman who did my check-in and check-out was not the friendliest. I ended up overpaying because I didn't realise I have to give two weeks notice before vacating the unit. When I first booked the facility I said that I only require two weeks, but was told they take a payment for four and refund the unused portion. No refund for me though because I didn't read the small print!

Mark and his team have always been so helpful with my storage needs over the years, finding the best unit to suit my need and also the best price. You are always greeted with a smile and I feel they genuinely care about their customer service, it is always a pleasure to see them. I've never had any problems with Safestore Charlton, the building has always been secure, clean and tidy, and everything has stored well, even fabric items. I would highly recommend them for short or long term storage.

I have been with Safestore at charlton for over 18 months and have been a satisfied customer. I had to take out a self storage unit in Leeds for an indefinite period of time very unexpectedly. I enquired through the website and very soon received a call from a very polite guy called Tom from Safestore's Leeds store who helped me choose the right size storage unit and the best (lowest) price which was much lower than another self store place across the road.
I arrived to the store and met the store manager called Scott who helped me with the paperwork, packaging, moving - literally, anything I asked for help with. Great customer service. Nice and very clean self storage units. Highly recommended.

These guys offer a secure, clean, storage solution. Never a problem with parking or access. The staff are very friendly, efficient and always on hand to help. They've also a good range of sturdy boxes on offer (a saviour when moving!). I found it very quick and easy to get started, with very little money needed up front. I was also pleasantly surprised to have received money back upon departure, implying that I only paid for the time I used... great!
