Following government and our association advice, we will be open with reduced times (see below). Anybody who does visit must keep social distancing and the office/reception will be closed except to new customers doing the initial contract paperwork. This is to minimise contact between customers and staff. If you have to visit for example to empty your unit, or retrieve essential items, please allow extra time in case (because of social distancing) access to your unit is delayed by other customers. We do ask that any visit be as brief as possible.

What is self storage

Providing customers with a storage unit that is exclusively theirs. This unit is a "room" in a secure building that is supervised throughout the opening times, during which the customer can add or remove goods without charge.

What size will I need

If you just have boxes and small furniture then one of our walk in units - say 3ft or 4 ft wide by 6ft deep will probably do. Here at Highbury we have a wide range of sizes from 18 square feet (3ft by 6ft) up to ground oor units (8ft by 10 ft). Availability of units changes and there is no list of sizes and prices on this website. We prefer to help our customers by phone or email with advice on appropriate size/price availability and reserve a suitable unit for your arrival.

We regularly store furniture, nursery goods, clothes and sports equipment, bicycles, computers and other electrical goods, carpets and other soft furnishings. You can store most things except items that are perishable, combustible, or illegal goods i.e. food, gas canisters, explosives or drugs. Priority is given to the security of your goods and so the facility is supervised during the opening hours. To make the move easy we sell cartons, boxes and other packaging items and can recommend a local mover if you need one.

Starting to store

The agreement is straightforward, when you begin storing one month's hire as a refundable deposit plus the cost of the remainder of the month is payable by card only - later payments are due at the beginning of each month. This means, in effect, that you hire by the day after the minimum hire of one calendar month.
