THEY ARE AWFUL! The Removal Group picked up our furniture in Italy after giving us a written quote and reconfirming the amount on the day of the move, then wanted 50% more after they took the goods, even though on the day of the move, told us everything was fine.

When the goods did arrive in the US 3 months later items were broken. We purchased damage insurance before the move from them and now they won't call us back. This company is the biggest nightmare in the world. I would be happy to tell anyone how bad it was. I am in the US at 617-536-0878, ask for Andrew.

Jamie Briggs moved me out of my rented property into my new home. During the move they damaged a light fitting, ceiling and wall when moving a wardrobe down the stairs. Due to slow response from JB, I was forced to repair the damage myself, as I did not want to lose my deposit with the Landlord. It is now one year later and JB have not compensated me yet. Their insurance company have contacted me stating that the claim is too small and needs to be settled direct with JB. JB are not responding to any of my emails. I will not be using them again, and would not recommend their services - their customer care is rubbish!!

Elephant Removals were fine, organised and friendly until the day of the move when they broke an expensive light and ripped up the floor of the place I was moving to. They are not insured for anything meaningful unless you pay for them to pack everything for you. Further more they lied about ripping up the floor in order to avoid paying for repairs. Be warned.

We moved house with Horsley's of Stafford and ended up having a very difficult and stressful experience. After arriving at our new home, we discovered that several items of furniture were damaged, including a couple of items that had been brand new prior to the move. We contacted Horsley's in writing, as per their instructions, and received what we considered to be a very offhand and rude letter in reply, stating that our claims were (and I quote) "complete and utter nonsense", intimating that we had done the damage ourselves.

After further correspondence, we were eventually asked to seek a quote from an independent furniture restorer. He confirmed that the damage to the furniture was consisitent with the furniture having been dragged along a rough surface such as a pavement or the ramp of a removal van, and that the items were all beyond worthwhile repair. We sent his letter to Horsley's, who responded with compensation of £60 and a letter stating that they would not be entering into any more correspondence with us. After all of the assurances that they had given us prior to the move, and the company's supposedly good reputation, we were very disappointed.

I would like to say a big thank to Elephant Removals.

Their team was very polite, expertly trained, skilful individuals.

They have moved us 3 times in 4 years 6 months!

They came highly recommended by friends and lived up to their reputation. I was having a difficult time trying search for a reliable moving company.

Their packing was excellent and this took away immense deal of pressure. They worked very hard, none stop, dismantled many of our furniture including a big triple wardrobe, unplumbed the washing machine, and hoisted the sofa through the window.

Here is a tip! Just keep them supplied with tea, biscuits and energy drinks regularly and you will not be disappointed.

I've thanked my friends for the recommendation, all our possessions were well looked after and we have no hesitation in recommending their moving and storage services to anyone looking for an excellent removals company. A Superb professional service.

Having moved house several times over the last few years I know the process can be very stressful. I found the removal group to be very competitive pricewise and by assigning me a personal move coordinator it was easy to organise. The communication, before, during and after the move were excellent and I was particularly impressed with the follow-up calls on the day of the shipment ariiving at the destination to ensure all was well.

moved me from Bradford to St Austell in Cornwall, this company is probadly the worst removal company in Yorkshire, if you value your furniture and household goods don't use this company, they caused about £1200.00 of damage to all my goods.
